    What the Ledger says

XOSTOR scores as a young, narrow product: a supported way to get shared-nothing replicated storage on XCP-ng without a SAN, and little more. Resilience and operations are solid for its size, because DRBD quorum and Xen Orchestra deployment do the work, while data services, protocols, security and scale sit at the basic level with hard limits (2040 GiB per disk, three to seven hosts, no encryption at rest). Vates publishes its prices and dates and shipped the beta to supported status in eight months. A buyer should confirm that the VHD disk cap and the fixed replication factor fit their largest VMs before building a pool.

XOSTOR has no AI features and Vates has announced none for it beyond a funding statement about AI-related workloads on the next platform. Agents reach it only through the Xen Orchestra API.
