A written second opinion on your setup
You run the servers and the backups, and nobody checks your work. Before you sign a VMware renewal, buy two new hosts or trust a backup you have never restored, send the setup and get back a two-page written assessment within three working days: what is fine, what will bite and what to change first.
What you send
- Hosts: model, CPUs and cores, RAM, storage, network.
- VMs or workloads: an RVTools export, a pvesh get /cluster/resources dump, or a plain list.
- Backups: tool, schedule, retention, where the copies live, when you last restored one.
- The decision in front of you and the one thing that worries you most.
Remove names, IPs and anything you don't want to share. Counts and versions are enough.
What you get
A two-page PDF within three working days of receiving your files:
01
What is fine.
So you can stop thinking about it.
02
What will bite.
Ranked, with the reason and the check that proves it: a command, a config key or a doc page.
03
What to change first.
The two or three moves with the best return, in order.
04
Numbers.
Licence cores, restore points and storage growth, where they matter to the decision.
What it is not
- Not a call, not a sales pitch, not a product recommendation for a fee. No vendor pays for a place in the answer.
- Not a hands-on job. Nobody logs in to your systems.
- Not legal or licensing advice. Licence counts follow the vendor's published rules; confirm the quote with your reseller.
How it works
- 1. Pay with the button on this page.
- 2. Reply to the receipt email with your files, or send them to mrplanbcde@gmail.com.
- 3. Your assessment arrives within three working days. One follow-up question by email is included.
149 USD, paid once by card, Apple Pay or Link.
If there is nothing useful to say about your setup, you get a full refund.
Want to try first?
The free tools do part of this on their own: the VMware Exit Planner, the Backup Runbook Generator and the Kubernetes Backup Audit. The second opinion is for when you want someone to read the result with your situation in mind.
