    How it works

    1. You describe what you monitor: servers, network devices, sites, Kubernetes, applications, customers, budget and team.
    2. The advisor turns that into weighted needs, ranks every tool with the Monitoring Ledger scores (the numbers come from the Ledger, never from the AI) and then designs a first setup around the best fit: topology, steps and pitfalls.
    3. Your browser draws the video as soon as the answer arrives. Download it or share the link.

The answer is general guidance written by AI (Claude) on top of the Infrastructure Monitoring Ledger 2026. It is not a design review. Run a pilot before you buy. Each visitor can ask 3 new questions per day; the examples and shared links do not count.

    Questions

Which monitoring tool is best for a small team?

Usually one that is free to start, runs on common Linux skills and covers servers and network devices in one place. Enter your numbers in the advisor: it weights those needs and ranks 20 tools with the Monitoring Ledger scores.

Where do the scores come from?

From the Infrastructure Monitoring Ledger 2026, which scores 20 self-hosted monitoring tools on capability, credibility, buyer risk, lock-in and AI using public records. The advisor never invents a score.

Does it cover SaaS monitoring tools?

No. The Ledger covers tools you can run yourself, on premises or in your own cloud account. The advisor recommends only from that list.
